TRANSFORMER STRIPS:

the line of copper strips also includes strips that have smooth and polished surfaces with deburred edges for transformer windings. The precision deburring is done on a highly sophisticated line which makes these strips ideal for electric windings in large transformers.

The transformer strips are made of ETP copper with tolerances within the limits imposed by

the EN 1652 standard.

Application of copper

Copper and Copper alloy Foils, Strips, Sheets, Plates, and Circles have a wide range of applications in numerous sectors of industry.
In fact, prior to the iron and steel age, which commenced only a few hundred years ago, copper and its alloys were the principal metals used by mankind.
Cold Rolling of copper into sheets and strips commenced in a mechanized manner in the 14th century and conversion of these sheets and strips into other products form have been developing for the last six hundred years.
Copper itself has a face-centered cubic structure that is usefully ductile at room temperatures and can be deformed easily whether hot or cold. It work-hardens relatively slowly.
Additions to other metals are frequently made to improve properties such as strength, hardness, machinability, corrosion resistance or for other special reasons. Most are soluble to some extent in the copper, retaining the alpha face-centered cubic structure up to the limit of solubility but with progressive effects on strength, hardness and rate of work hardening.
